Course Overview
Following the introduction of the new Working At Height Regulations in 2005, there is increased legislation regarding working at height. This Mobile Tower course will train delegates to prepare, inspect, erect and dismantle a mobile tower scaffold safely, including:
- Introduction and why the need for training
- Relevant legislation relating to mobile tower scaffolds
- Inspections, registers
- Components, their use and inspections that need to be carried out, including toe boards and hand rails
- Height to base ratio, the use of out riggers and stabilizers
Course Content
- To understand the main aims of the health and safety at work regulations and all other relevant legislation
- To understand the need for accident prevention
- To understand the need for safe erection and dismantling procedures
- To train your operative to a level of competency, to enable them to carry out routine and periodic inspections on mobile tower scaffolds
- How to create a safe system of work whilst working with or on mobile tower scaffolds
- To understand both the employers and the employees responsibilities
