“Those that do not learn from their mistakes, are bound to repeat them”
From a Health and Safety perspective the primary purpose of an accident investigation is to identify the causes of an accident in order to suggest remedial action which will prevent a recurrence.
This will often involve looking beyond the immediate, or direct, cause to the underlying, or root causes. Only when all of these have been identified and tackled, can we claim to have taken effective action.
This course is aimed at managers, supervisors and Health & Safety officers.
Upon completion the delegates will have gained knowledge of:
- Accident distinction
- Accident factors
- Causes and misconceptions
- The accident and causation
- Why investigate
- Analysis and prevention
- Health and Safety control strategy
- Accident Investigation in practice
